Nils Blau’s artistic practice revolves around ideas concerning the hybridity of nature. His works narrate a science-critical approach in relation to the anthropocene. He finds inspiration in natural entities that are ambiguous in their categorical affiliation, form and function. His sculptures and installations rely heavily on materiality. The use of ceramic processes narrate his approach to investigate, understand, simulate and reinterpret nature.
