As a sculptor, Tom Meier works with physical forces in order to evoke psychic forces. In doing so, he attempts to transcend the material and create pure bodies of force: Sculptures that require no material at all. Forces are his medium. For him, sculpture is defined as a force in space that is made visible through bodies. The material is therefore only the packaging of the force, or its indicator. This is due to his systemic understanding of the psyche, which deals with vectors, charges, and social mapping, and considers figures to be relatively interchangeable.

Since 2022, he has been working primarily with the medium of light, which he sends through space in ever new movements, mostly with the help of specially designed machines. The result is a handwriting of light reminiscent of human gestures.

In 2023 Tom Meier completed his studies in Fine Arts as a master student at the KHB Weissensee.
